MEET THE DIRECTOR, AMELIA DE CAMPO BSW MHSc MAASW
Forensic Specialist Social Worker
Amelia De Campo is a specialist social worker with over 15 years clinical experience in the family law sector operating Brisbane’s largest private Supervised Contact Centre at LifeCare Consultancy.
In 2019, alongside colleague Dr Ingrid McGuffog, Amelia commenced an outpatient addiction treatment service, D&M Consultants, which flourished in the criminal law arena.
Founder of Corrections to Community
Having recognised and embraced this passion and the benefit it can deliver for clients, Amelia established her own targeted intervention service: Corrections to Community (C2C). C2C assists clients who are currently incarcerated and in the community who require treatment and support to meet their parole order and/or bail conditions.
Amelia also works extensively with key support person/s as she appreciates the complex dynamics and importance of the individual within their own family system.
Authorised for all Queensland Correctional Facilities
Amelia is available to consult with clients about to enter, currently serving time, or upon their release from prison. She is authorised to provide face-to-face, video conferencing and telephone therapeutic and case-management support to clients in all Queensland Correctional Facilities.
Amelia is a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and holds a Master of Health Science, specialising in alcohol and other drugs (AOD). She has expertise in motivational interviewing, case management, complex assessment and treatment planning.

She has presented at numerous family law and supervised contact conferences with her experience and expertise in this field leading to being invited to contribute to Attorney General’s Department Advisory Board for the establishment of Accreditation in the supervised contact sector.
Amelia has over a decade of experience writing reports for family court proceedings and case-managing complex, high-risk clients with significant backgrounds of addiction, family and domestic violence, and trauma.
Drawing on Lived Experience
Amelia has lived experience of addiction and recovery, which, as research confirms, assists in establishing a strong therapeutic rapport, a deeper understanding of the complexities of addiction and recovery and assists in clients feeling as though they will not be judged or shamed for their own lived experience.
